Prices are really good here. Cheap and reasonably quick. Nice place to grab breakfast or lunch.

There was a time where I ate here weekly. I've since moved away but took the opportunity to visit recently. Menu has always been larger than expected and the biggest detractors are the bathrooms (you have to leave the restaurant proper and go downstairs).Family style diner that is run by a real family.

Great prices, and wonderful staff. Typical greasy spoon breakfast, and the home fries were delicious. Definately a new favourite. Also great spot to people watch out the big windows on the front and side of the building.

It's a small spot in downtown Kitchener but the prices for a quick breakfast or lunch cant be beat. Also the family that owns the restaurant are always welcoming!

Been here few times since it's close to the office. Food is alright nothing that great for how much they charge. Went there this time and got a few fries with my fish which by the way they use pollock which is the cheapest fish ever. Felt like i got a fish stick. Fries were cold and soggy.Called the manager and he was so rude. He obviously doesn't know how to be a manager and shouldn't be one. Told me thats the portion they always give and that he can't do anything. Save your money and go to a real diner where they respect their customer's and give proper food. If you the owner are reading this just know you should be ashamed of business and staff.Stop being stingy and charging people 25 cents for a takeout boxes give better portions and have other ways of paying than just debit. Your establishment Soooo stingy and cheap.

Great family run restaurant serving everything from all day breakfast to a million dinner options. I was very happy to find this gem downtown Kitchener. It's like stepping back in time to when small family diners served quality food at good prices. The type of food you don't feel gross after eating, or want to fall asleep from lunch. Highly recommend trying this place!

Eaten there many times over the years. Enjoy all day breakfast feature. I had eggs- sausage- home fries- & my spouse had pancakes. We both had toast & jam etc. Everything was good. There’s no table service- It’s more like a cafeteria setting- but that’s no problem. The staff were polite & efficient. Prices were acceptable. All in all- a pleasant experience & we will return.

A community staple. Always serving up exactly the comforting diner food I want. The home fries fluctuate a bit in quality, but Slices always cooks their eggs perfectly.

Breakfast special and a tea was $9.75. Freshly made, hashbrowns were bland, food average overall. Staff not overly friendly. Nothing special, but not terrible.

Cute little corner diner. After seeing positive reviews, we tried it out for breakfast this morning. Different from what we're used to. Order first at the counter, when the food is ready they call out your order. Delicious food, good prices. Will be back sometime.

The food is good with variety. The customer service is horrible. The people that are working there are rude to their customers 😠.

From the outside, this restaurant looks like it's seen better days, but for an old-school greasy spoon the staff were surprisingly helpful working around my food restrictions. Breakfast was good with nice sized portions and free refills on coffee. They are open early on Sundays and the regulars are really friendly as well.

Great spot to try Malaysian food for the first time! Small restaurant with a little bar and open kitchen. For 2 of us we ordered a five piece sate, tofu appetizer, the braised beef entree, and the coconut rice entree. This was a good amount of food for two and we definitely weren't stuffed. BYO is super casual and our waiter gave us regular glasses for our wine. $54 in total.

Got that really comfy, no-frills diner feel. Service depends on who helps you, but you'll self serve when the food is ready for you - and food is served up fast. Prices are fair, and portions are adequate. I personally like the polish sausage breakfast, with the thick, salty slices of sausage as the stars of the dish. Hash browns may not be to everybody's liking, as they are not of the crispy variety, but they are buttery and well seasoned. I keep coming back for the breakfast menu, which is simple, greasy American diner breakfast at its most comfortable. Please don't order the hot chocolate though, which was basically brown water, with the instant powder they used collected at the bottom of a tiny cup.

I enjoy walking here every so often. It's a family run place with good value meals. My favourite is the Oktoberfest sausage breakfast. Very casual little diner.

Anyone giving this place less than 5 stars is insane. At Slices, you get food that not only fills your stomach, but also your soul. Eating here gives you the same fulfillment as eating at your grandmother's. You get delicious food, amazing service and a cozy dining experience at a more than reasonable price. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Take the time, sit down here and enjoy the best one in town

Since finding this gem, I have been here once or twice a week. Now I'm pretty into all day breakfasts, I would say I might even be some sort of breakfast connoisseur or dare I say breakfast aficionado. I will say that they have to be the best breakfast place in the downtown kw area. The food is always delicious and consistent, inexpensive, and the service is great. The two ladies that work there are always friendly and crazy efficient, there are not many places one can go for lunch in downtown Kitchener, sit down and eat in 30 minutes.

Its good food, just timing really. Back in the late 90's; we're they ever great. Things sure have changed. Thank-you👌✌️

Great food, good menu and awesome prices. Serve yourself deli style and right downtown which is awesome. One of KW's hidden gems. Ended up here after our usual spot on Belmont lost our business.

Used to be a great little place 20 years ago. In need of a complete gut job. I wouldn't recommend it
